Please note that the torrent method is something that should only be used by people who have a more-than-average grasp of how computers work. It is considered an advanced install.

* rar file - A collection of files compressed into one single file using a .rar format

* Torrent - A method of file sharing, where instead of one central location to download a file, the file is hosted, then simultaneously downloaded and shared by other users, potentially greatly increasing the download speeds for everyone.

Programs You Will Need:

* File decompression program to unpack the .rar file such as WinRar, WinZip, BitZipper

* Torrent program such as BitTorrent, uTorrent or BitComet

Torrenting the Update:

Get the .torrent file you'll need to download

* Your torrent software may ask you where you wish to put the downloaded file. This is almost always in your Windows "Downloads" folder (My Computer/Favorites/Downloads)

* Once the torrent is finished, please allow the program to run for a while so that you can continue to share the completed file with other users who need it as well!

Installing the Update:

* Navigate to your Mortal Online installation folder.
Desura: C:\Program Files (x86)\Desura\Common\mortalonline
Manual Install: C:\Program Files (x86)\Star Vault\Mortal Online

Inside the Mortal Online folder, you will see a folder called mortalonline, and probably also a folder called Patches. You will also see a list of files such as updater.exe, Mortal Online Launcher.exe, etc. Delete the folders "mortalonline" and "patches" but leave the other files. Keep this window open.

* Go to your Downloads folder and locate the file (will be called something like MortalOnline_1800011.rar). Open it with your decompression software. Drag all of the files contained in the .rar to the Mortal Online installation folder. If it asks you to overwrite the launcher files, say yes to all.

* Run updater.exe

* You may need to re-set your settings in the Launcher Options window.

* Done!
