Riding made into a secondary is useless unless...

A new building is created that spawns already tamed horses, with evenly distributed stats (junk horses), for people to just jump on and use. Cause at the end of the day, nobody cares enough about the game to go tame horses or waste their day breeding.

hoz do you think the breeded good stat horse come to be ?

there are already a bunch of useless horse spawns that nobody uses, just make taming secondary

no way ! taming is a full job , no need to put another 100 free point
100 taming without lores and cc would just allow me to tame lvl 25 horses, its not replacing the specialized taming profession. If anything this would be a buff to tamers...

Nahh you’re wrong : this game has Time sinked us for far too long , time to put the game back in MO and take out all the needless , mindless , painfully boring time sink experiences like having to relog into another character that has taming skills just to recover from an aids zerging or some shit like that .

The game doesn’t flow smoothly due to the devs greed ; they never expected us to realize how they were setting the character system up to be a huge real life money sink , but we did and nothing has changed - except for when their game is literally on the brink of death .

Makes you wonder if they are just stringing us along long enough to realize we are about to break and then throws a patch at us that we had been literally BEGGING For for years .... if they want to make ACTUAL waves in the gaming community in 2019 then they need to constantly patch and bug fix and continue to give us patches like this one that we have been asking for since literally the dawn of MO .

Taming as a secondary would be good.

Game just takes too long to actually get to play. You need several characters, to relog, move stuff 24/7, etc. Even just to get mounts for your red foot to roam on. You relog to tamer. walk to horses. Tame some. ride back. make receipts. Go to veredarri. Relog to fighter. Go put them in stable. All that just so you can actually go play the game. And thats just the mounts, never mind the gear sets you need to actually fight and all the time that goes into those.

I dont want to turn mo into some lame arean bs insta action but this is 2019. Gaming is just getting more fast click play and gamers are getting soft. Keeping mo in its timesink state isnt going to work forever. There needs to be a balance of hardcore with wasting less time.

Anything else that should be made secondary? Let's get a list going.
So this idea is significantly more debatable as a good idea or not lol. But I always kidna wished melee combat was the primary and the weapon lores were a secondary. That might be a tad too good and poles could be made a second primary to keep it 2. But ive just always found it kinda annoying that if I wanted to use clubs on my sword guy, I need to drop swords and macro clubs. Then if I want swords again I get to re macro... Repeat. I think all the diff weps are cool so its annoying when I have swords to be viable but kinda want to roll foot axes and I have to macro cuz it isnt worth having multiple weapons at all if it isnt spears and axes for poles.

And this is MO so its not like having all weapons means people are going to roll every weapon at once for every situation. that would mean they drop a lot of stuff. So people would still only bring like 1 main weapon and like a backup or dismount or something. And even if they do bring more weps its more risk. So I think it would be ok.

but this idea isnt nearly as important as some other skills. It could just be a nice quality of life change if other people wanted it. Might increase weapon variety if people could try weapons they didnt feel were as good without it hurting their build.

Mental training should be secondary, mental offense is already a primary, along with ecu, and vitalism to even use mana

Mental training
Sprinting
Animal lores (from another thread)
Melee Combat
Taming

I'll update the list as the demand for less specialization grows.

... Just because you're tabulating it *now* doesn't mean it's 'just now growing'.

It could even be that, overall, some want more specialisation of new kinds, kinds that there haven't been room for, given that an avatar practically has to learn to breathe.

Lol i feel like theres places you can go get a horse that you dont have to breed

Going to say no to taming secondary but offer an alternate solution.

Have it so breeding grounds can produce tameable mounts BUT the only mounts you can put in them are mounts that are tamed directly from a spawn. Maybe even let the offspring have a small chance at exceptional?

Then allow those offspring to be "tamed" without the skill, by anyone.

This way taming can stay useful, cheap mounts can be easily stocked, breeding stays relevant, and we can see some horse thievery.

Sounds like a win, win, win, win.

The only thing missing is the hanging, and there are alternatives for that.
